Lucktastic Exposed — Can You Make Some Cash with It?

Lucktastic Exposed

Lucktastic Review

Looking at Lucktastic (assuming the conceptual use of words such as Luck is Fantastic) it all seems fairly simple and straightforward. This is an application for Android and iPhones for playing scratch games online. Even better, it’s free. So what’s the catch?

Where Do I Start at Lucktastic?

Of course, the first thing players have to do is download the App on their phone, set up an account, and then start to play. Ah – the catch! You have to be a US citizen to play. More on why shortly. Let’s go back to the games. Players win tokens that can be used to get more scratches. The token value (i.e. winnings) is between $1 to $100. What a player wins is divided into what can be used to redeem and what can be used to cash in. It appears, that cashing in means trading that part of your wallet for coupons. One article referenced Amazon Gift Cards though it does look like there are other advertisers that provide coupon rewards.

More at Lucktastic

Consecutive day play is encouraged with the US $5,000 a US $10,000 scratch cards. To “unlock” the US $5,000 scratch card, players must play five days consecutively. Ditto for the US $10,000 scratch card but for ten days. Oops, there is also a US $25,000 sweepstakes that have terms and conditions of play.

How to Claim Winnings on Luckstatic

Players can actually cash out their account as long as it is over $10 either by receiving a check (7 – 10 business days) or using a system called Dwolla. To activate this, click on the Four Leaf Clover. It will open a menu of options. If you don’t have a Dwolla Account, it will walk you through the process of opening one. Dwolla is a US platform for money transfers. It looks pretty professional though it does look like you have to be a US citizen to register.

How Does Lucktastic Do It?

Ah, the catch! Firstly, let’s go back to the ole you have to be a US citizen to play. This is because the site is funded by advertising. It doesn’t appear that this translates into receiving spam but instead prior to playing the scratch card, players are offered advertising to view. You do have a choice on whether you have to read before you play and it does appear that whether you do or not, does not affect winning. But, keep in mind – the more tokens you cash to play, the more advertising you are offered.

What Else?

Surfing around and reading some of the comments players have made, it does sound like the App itself might be a little sluggish, and/or your ability to play depends on how new your phone is. As I am not a US citizen, I couldn’t register to play, I did not find this out firsthand.

Lastly at Lucktastic

Given that you are not actually giving these guys any credit card details (it is free) and the game itself is very straightforward, there can’t be that many questions. But if you do, the operator of the site is Jump Ramp Games out of New York with a snail mail and email address, plus a Twitter account. There are no phone numbers. There are no terms and conditions with any information being provided only in their FAQ.

Is Luckstatic Legit?

If you’re into playing scratch cards (I admit it, I am) and you are a US Citizen in the US (and I am not), then this could be some good fun and winnings though it’s not going to be that mega jackpot. Then again, it is free. Lucktastic gets 5.5 out of 10.

  1. *Note: this app doesn’t even deserve 1 star. They ARE SCAMMERS! They advertise that you watch videos from their advertisers, scratch lottery cards, collect tokens, then redeem those tokens for an e-gift prize. They give EVERY NEW ACCOUNT a “win” on the $1-$2 scratcher which means they are RIGGING THE GAME…I’ve spent the past year watching the ads, scratching the cards and collecting tokens. I FINALLY reached 70,000 tokens which was enough to get a $25 movie e-gift card. Well, I tried for 4 days and all I kept getting was an error message saying “out of stock, check back tomorrow while we replenish inventory”. Finally I messaged CS, and basically I was told that it is “out of stock” to ME, (which obviously it’s not because a BUNCH of people are filing the same complaints) because while I watched the ads and collected the coins, I did not participate in the “offers in their ads” so therefore I cannot redeem my tokens. They NEVER told us that in order to be able to redeem our tokens that we had to download the apps within their app, nor did they announce this change. They have built a big customer base and now all of us who have been playing this app, are not getting what this app promised, which is what you see when you download this app. They are TRICKING EVERYONE. This SHOULD NOT be allowed. I hope EVERYONE REPORTS THIS APP, so it gets shut down.

    • Amanda – I wish I would of known about this as well, I too saved up over 100K points and never could get any gift cards. I wish someone would sue them AND shut them down, but I am now seeing why only the major people win in NY, because they would be sued in their own backyard, this is a racketeer of a game.

  2. I started playing in June 2016 and had enough tokens before Christmas to get 2 $15 game stop gift vouchers and had no problem receiving and printing them out. They do however only allow one redemption per day. I gave them to my son for Christmas and he had no problem redeeming them at our local game stop. Before Christmas last year (2017) I had enough tokens for the $50 Amazon gift card which again I had no trouble getting or redeeming. Now I’ll be taking a trip to Vegas for 3 nights with dinner and a show and some spending cash thanks to Lucktastic.

  3. Been playing for a year. Finally got up to 85000 coins to redeem the walmart gift card and i get an error message stating “Sorry this item is extra popular right now and is out of stock.” Im upset Ive played for a year and this is the end result. May people are complaining about the same thing. They are ripping us off and making money when we watch ads. There should be a lawsuit. Someone needs to look into this business. Someone should be held responsible.

    • You are absolutely right! I notified them to ask when the rewards would be back in stock and got a reply back that you need to be a VIP member now to get access to the bigger rewards! What a dirty way of doing business, if they are going to change the way they do things it should clearly be stated and they should honor the hard work and playing time that everyone put in up to the point of the change!

  4. I have been trying to cash in 85000 tokens for a $25 Walmart gift card which they advertise. However, it’s not happening. When I contact them, I get a robotic response suggesting another type of reward. I have attempted contacting them several times and all I keep getting is the same robotic response. At this point I’m time, I would not recommend this app to anyone.

  5. I have a 140000 try to redeem it for gift card since November all I get is try again tomorrow, now when I go to try to redeem the card I get an error code 306 rb2, just funny that the only thing that you don’t get an error code on is the cheap ass magazines, think it’s time for class action suit who wants to join in

    • Richard Newman, I so would, because now they have built their customer base, all of a sudden they are “changing” their redeem policy. I have played for the past year and FINALLY got enough tokens (70,000) to redeem for a $25 movie e-gift and I kept getting “out of stock” message. CS got back to me and said it is “out of stock” to ME because I am not VIP status, but the thing is, they NEVER contacted us about this change which was VERY DECEIVING, and i’m NOT THE ONLY ONE! If you know the route to go for class action, i’m on board and I will personally message those who are commenting the same issue on their Facebook page. We as players definitely need to do something because we were duped & basically lied too.
