Since the Irish Lotto introduced additional numbers it seems that they have stacked the odds too much in the favour of low wins. Looking at results over several months there are few to no winners of any amount over a couple of thousand euros. Since increasing the number of balls to 47 the chances of winning are clearly not worth it

What I like most about the Irish Lotto is the high odds of winning, although I haven’t won anything big yet. I am looking forward to winning soon. A friend of mine won some money through a syndicate in Ireland recently. They almost lot the prize because leader of the syndicate did not check the ticket until the very last day that the prize was due. I’m impressed by the Irish Lotto.
