Jackpocket Review

Want to play Powerball, Mega Millions, and New York Lotto quickly, conveniently, and without leaving your home? If so, Jackpocket is the answer.

The Jackpocket app is pretty simple and straightforward, which is a good thing in the lotto industry platforms and apps. It has one purpose, and that’s to give you remote access to tickets for your favorite lotteries.
Should you be giving it a try? Does Jackpocket offer anything other than convenience? Check out the following Jackpocket review to have your most prominent questions answered.

Games at Jackpocket App

This application is downloadable for free. Depending on your phone’s OS and manufacturer, you will simply need to go to the respective app store to get it.

When you download Jackpocket, you will need to enter some information, after which you’ll get access to the available lotteries.

These include the nationally-available Powerball and Mega Millions, as well as New York Lotto.

As per the information on the page, the ticket you want is purchased and fulfilled through a licensed state retailer. Thus, you can perceive Jackpocket as a lottery courier service.

Jackpocket app offers courier services to eleven states: Arkansas, New Jersey, Texas, Colorado, New Hampshire, New York, Washington DC, Minnesota, Ohio, Oregon, and New Mexico. More states will join this list shortly.

It’s interesting to point out that each launch in a new state has been backed by the respective lottery authorities there, making Jackpocket a pretty legitimate option if you’re interested in massive national games.

While Jackpocket is legit, you’re probably wondering how it makes money. So, how does Jackpocket make money? You are charged fees whenever you add funds to your account. You will not be charged any commissions on your prizes or additional amounts. All of this information is made available before you buy your ticket for the sake of complete transparency.

How to Claim Your Winnings on Jackpocket.com

Winnings under USD 600 go straight into your account. Over USD 600, Jackpocket.com will send you the winning ticket, and you will be responsible for prize collection on your own.

Jackpocket does send out notifications to winners by email. Jackpocket winners will also get additional instructions about the prize claim and how sums in their account can be withdrawn.

If you have the money in your Jackpocket account, you will get to withdraw via a bank transfer. Again, keep in mind there will be specific fees and processing charges that will potentially be taken out of the sum you acquired through the lottery.

According to the Jackpocket official presentation, such payout requests usually take three to five days to complete.

Who Owns Jackpocket?

Jackpocket Inc is the creation of Peter Sullivan, who’s also currently the company’s CEO. Initially, the company was so small that it operated from a coworking space, but in time, it has grown and has its headquarters today.

Currently, the company has over 100 employees responsible for customer service and enhancements in the app (as well as its expansion to more states across the US).

Set up in 2013, the company has signed several strategic deals through the years that allowed it to expand. There have also been a couple of strategic team changes, including the addition of legal professionals to the Jackpocket crew.

All in all, there’s a legit business behind the app.

Jackpocket’s website does have an extensive help center that you can use to learn a bit more about the entity behind the app. You can also contact the team via email.

Other Bits and Pieces

You now know what the Jackpocket states are and how to use the website. Let’s check out if there’s anything worth paying attention to.

Apart from ticket buying options, Jackpocket does offer a couple of additional functionalities.

There are both public and private pools you can use as a form of syndication. Syndicates are groups of lottery players who put their resources together to optimize their chances of success. In the event of winning, prizes are shared out among the syndicate members.

You can also create your private pool and invite friends to it.

If you’re interested in a Jackpocket promo code or another Jackpocket promo perk, you will need to know they have a refer a friend program. Whenever a person signs up for Jackpocket via your referral link, you will get a 10-dollar bonus.

The problem with such programs is that very often; websites will exploit them. They will post unrealistically positive reviews to get people to sign up and win their bonuses. Thus, be careful and analytical when reading Jackpocket reviews. Not all information should be accepted at face value.

Another feature worth mentioning is the ‘autoplay’. You can select a game and your favorite numbers (or a random quick pick) and Jackpocket will automatically buy tickets for that game for you anytime it has a drawing (e.g. set it and forget it, so you don’t have to repeat the same order manually every time there’s a drawing).

Our verdict: 9 out of 10 stars.

  1. App doesn’t work. I’m pretty sure this is a scam app.

  2. I buy lottery tickets through Jackpocket. I entered a losers contest called “Choose Your Own Team Gear + $100 in DraftKings Sportsbook Bonus Bets Sweepstakes.” I won! I received a prepaid credit card for $200 and $100 in DraftKings Sportsbook Bonus Bets. I finally received the $200 credit card last week after being notified that I had won three weeks prior, but only after several emails. I still have not received the Bonus Bets after a month. My plan is to go to the State of Maine Gaming Commission and the Attorney General’s office as well as the US Federal Trade Commission. I don’t even care about this award any longer, but these idiots needs to live up to what they promise

  3. I bought 4 scratchers on 9/7. The first one was a winner 2x x 100 = $200. It stated not a winner. It literally was a winner. I have sent their support contact several emails and have heard nothing back. They owe me $200. This tells me they either have an algorithm set up to scam people who aren’t actually looking at tickets or maybe a clear error. I have sent a screen shot of the winning ticket highlighted where I won and highlighted where it says I wasn’t a winner. I have heard nothing back from them in 3 days.

At this point all I’m going to say is make sure you really check your scratchers and don’t trust Jackpocket. If they would have responded quickly, I would not be writing this. Tells me something else is going on.

  4. Just wanted to share my experience with Jackpocket. I have been using this service for 2-3 months and I love the convenience it provides. I live in a “safe” neighborhood but all of the retail stores where I can buy lottery tickets are sketchy, at best, so I try to utilize only automated kiosks when purchasing lottery tickets or scratch off tickets. Redeeming winning tickets, unfortunately requires interacting with a person. Like most everyone else who has ever played a game of chance, my track record is definitely more losses than wins. But I have won small amounts, like break even prizes, pretty regularly on the scratch off tickets I have purchased from automated kiosks. My experience with Jackpocket has been considerably worse than it has been when I buy tickets at retail kiosks. It’s entirely possible that my luck just sucks and my timing is horrible when it comes to purchasing scratch off games on Jackpocket, or perhaps there’s something more sinister going on. To their credit, Jackpocket has credited my account instantly when I have won, but I have yet to be able to actually attempt to withdraw anything, so I can’t comment on that aspect. I share the same concern about what happens if you actually win big (or even not so big) as many others have shared. Lottery prizes are paid to the bearer and it would be so easy for a winning ticket to get conveniently mismanaged and not provided to the person who bought it. I feel like it’s just a matter of time before we learn about a scam involving any courier service that handles lottery tickets. Jackpocket – – if you are reading this, you need to do much more to convince me that your organization is staffed with professionals who have been extensively vetted and passed every imaginable background check available. Equally important, you need to make available a white paper that describes in detail how your operations are set up to ensure that nobody can intercept a winning ticket and give it to a relative or a friend to cash in, or in the case of the scratch off games, that your staff members are not checking for winning tickets and setting those aside instead making non-winning tickets available for users of your service to “scratch off.” Remember, the winning/losing status of scratch off ticket is already determined before the purchaser can actually see the game ticket. It can take upwards of an hour for a purchased ticket to become available for viewing/playing. That is way too long and it begs the question of what is happening during that time. I’m sure customer service staffing is what Jackpocket will cite as the reason it takes so long to see your scratch off tickets, but is that really it? I need more proof, and that comes by more consistent wins, which I doubt will happen, or something to convince me that your processes are rock solid and that there’s no possibility of anything sketchy taking place.

My last concern is regarding the Android app. In Texas, the app can’t be downloaded from Google Play store. It must be downloaded from Jackpocket’s website and sideloaded. That introduces way way way too many possibilities of something sketchy happening. It’s not unthinkable that a bad actor could hack Jackpocket’s servers and make available a modified Jackpocket app that communicates with an infrastructure that looks end feels like Jackpocket but really isn’t. It would take some time before something like that would be discovered. No telling how much money people would lose before a nefarious scheme like that came was identified.

Sidelined apps are not digitally signed, which means there’s no guarantee that the app you actually install has not been modified in any way since the publisher makes it available for the public to access it. For those who are not technically inclined, digital signatures provide a way to ensure that an app has not been modified in any way since it was published. While not 100% foolproof, they rightfully boost a consumer’s confidence level about the integrity of an app they install on their device. All apps that come from Google Playstore or Apple’s app store are digitally signed, for what it’s worth…

Sorry for the long-winded review, but I truly hope people will pause for a moment and consider my concerns. I truly hope Jackpocket will respond by addressing each of my concerns by substantiating why we should trust that they are legitimate in all senses of the word. Until that happens, I can only offer two stars. I hope that will change in the future, but at this point I would be very cautious about putting too much faith that Jackpocket if is an honest company until they prove that they really are.

  5. Not a fan. Some issues: I feel like I’m being scammed. They make you ‘fund’ your account before you even pick a single number. You should be able to choose your numbers, THEN you can pay for the tickets you have chosen. I see transactions in my brokerage account instantly and these transactions are deducted BEFORE I have even finished with my choices. I am homebound and don’t have anyone to drive me to get tickets (my only source of amusement), so I have to use websites like Jackpocket to try and win enough so that I can buy food, pay the mortgage and fix things that break in my home.
